Except for banks, it is hard to find a more regulated industry than insurance of all types. In this environment lobbying is a requirement of survival. But if the current health “reform” bill passes, the likely result will be the death of that industry.
The current system is far from ideal, but it is still hugely better than a future system run by your friendly local federal bureaucrat.
pschearer, why would passage of the “current” healthcare reform bill kill the insurance industry? I hear this argument, but since the system will still be insurance-centric, what gives?
It’s true. People need affordable health care, but these ‘public servants’ care more for what profit they can make by taking bribes from the profiteers.
