My all-time favorite April Fool’s Day gag is to give someone a note saying that “Mr. Lyon called and would like you to call him back.” And give them the phone number of the local zoo. I have no doubt in my mind that every zoo employee in the country is intimately familiar with this gag, much to their disgust.
Sorry I couldn’t answer sooner.. I keep rather opposite hours, probably, to yours, and I’d just gone to bed when you posted.
Today I was on my tablet… so I had to wait till I was on my computer, where it’s much easier to play with URLs and such, and I could experiment.
I opened my S x S picture several different ways…
1) I highlighted and right clicked the link, and selected “Open in a new window.”
Then I used Neil Wick’s GC Links, to display it directly in the comment box… where I
2) Clicked the image, which automatically opens it full size in another window.
3) Right-clicked the image, and selected “open in a new window.”
All three resulting windows were solid black with the picture in the middle, the usual image display in Firefox…. and all had the same URL I’d originally posted.
When I used the URL you posted, it did take me to a PostImage page instead…
My image was in the middle… but there were no other images, ads, or links.
When I use other people’s PostImage links… like x_Tech’s to the solution gif…. that’s what I get, as well.
I once made an account there, so maybe the site recognises my computer, and doesn’t show me links….
even though I never remember to log in, and it never happens automatically.
Or maybe it’s my AdBlock Plus.
Anyway, a mystery.
Thanks for your help.
I guess I’ll use it unless anyone ever says it showed something unacceptable.
As for April fools……….I’m like Grog……fool me twice, shame on me!!!! You got me, Nighthawks!!! What a relief to see the family portrait and those happy faces at the end!!!!!!!!!

Welcome, everybody…..
and Happy Easter!
Please post your comments here for ….
the April 1st 2018 “CLEO and COMPANY”You can find it on Sherpa:

Spring is finally here… at least in my neighborhood….
and the grass really needs a good mowing.
And poor Glen is rediscovering what happens on the first fine sunny day, to lawnmowers just coming out of a long winter’s nap in the garage….
And yeah… Allen really shines…
at scaring the pants off people…. (I hope not literally! )
He’s about to leap towards Glen, brandishing that huge scythe, and yelling “AHA!”
Just before Glen has a fatal heart attack… I hope, it’s before…
Allen will yell “APRIL FOOL!!”
and offer his expert help with the lawn.
Glen will be torn, between gratitude and the urge to commit homicide.
