Definitely had to go to the side-by-side today. But found ’em all. Surprised myself. I thought @ Nighthawks had gotten really diabolical when I first saw it.
This one reminded me of that flash camouflage scheme they used on WWI warships. The pictures were so busy, it made it hard to pick out individual details.
I got them all, but I had to turn responsibility over to the dinosaur part of my brain. I finally resorted to snipping and pasting the panels into two Powerpoint pages so I could see the transitions on page up/page down. Then they jumped right out.
Here’s an interesting observation: on my first pass at it earlier just looking at the panels sans powerpoint, the first difference I saw was the red-to-blue dot. Using Powerpoint, that one was the hardest to spot – with no apparent movement, the dinosaur brain wanted to ignore it.
Well, I’m back and tried this really hard puzzle……..I only got 8. They were easy. And the one I missed was easy, too. Bummer. I guess I’ll have to go to the Picasso Basset School of Cubes and Stuff.

Poor Chuck, you should have had the book much earlier.
ejcapulet; I like your new avatar.

Just take one of those pencils out of your top pocket, Chuck. It’ll make all the difference.

Thanks, marg, I like old art so I thought this fit.

Shoot. I was about to hit “comment” and it disappeared.
As I was saying, today’s puzzle is a bit weird, and my late night bleary eyes are no match. Will check in the AM.

Good evening (for me, at the moment)…. and later, Good Morning or Good Day… Ladies and Gentlemen,
in no particular order or preference, and including any of you wishing to be thought of as outside those categories.
That’s why I usually just say “Everybody.” It’s not so fraught.
We’re here to solve and discuss the Saturday puzzle!
See it in the July 20th 2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”
Which you can find on Sherpa
http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy
Or feel free to use my side by side version:

And an elegantly artsy fartsy work it is, today…. LOL….
Really, though, it’s quite attractive…
hence my elegant (cough) greeting, above.
Haven’t done it yet, but it looks like it might be tricky.
UH oh… wait…. it’s coming back to me.
Was it last week we had 11 easy differences to solve…. and Nighthawks warned us about the next one?
Maybe he wasn’t kidding….. or maybe appearances are deceiving and this arty basset will lie down and be a pussycat.
So glad you guys all obviously studied that book Chuck is reading….
Sigh…. I need a few more lessons.
And it’s getting a bit late.

So your oh for two. Why bother reading about your failures?

8 so far – if one of them doesn’t count as two. Need a break after definitely more than 2 minutes. ;-)

Aaaagh…. I, too, just lost a comment.
And it was a long one!
I spoke too soon…. was it yesterday?….. when I said I wasn’t having connection problems.
All of a sudden, as I was just about to post the puzzle gif, my connection completely dropped, and I can’t seem to get it back.
As I fiddled with it, I accidentally closed the page, and my post went with it, as I hadn’t copied it yet.
I’m starting over, using my phone and my data connection…
Even managed to re-upload the gif to postimage from my phone gallery (yay!)
But it’s kinda tedious… so it won’t say everything I said before.
As if I could remember, anyway.
Sigh…
Yes, indeed, though, our semi-anonymous gif maker is on the job!
I promised not to write this such that he or she Can bi identified…
But thank you, semi anonymous gif maker…
And thank you for the new, slower speed.
Remember… ladies and gentlemen do NOT peek before they finish the puzzle.

Oh…. and Farside… 9.
NINE.
Honest.

One thing I’d said in the lost post…
I found eight fairly quickly….
But then there was that NINTH one.
Hoooboy… that one took a while.
So which one was the ninth one?
Silly question.
The one I found after I’d already found eight.
Duh.
Funny thing is, it was just as obvious as the others, but I didn’t happen to see it.
So probably my ninth will be your fourth…
And you’ll get stuck on my third, or sixth, or something.
That’s the way the puzzle crumbles.

Well, I made it through ok. No pain. No pain meds. Goals since midnight sleep and go home. Waiting on the doc to release me.
Soooo bored. Updates to follow

Oh carp. I forgot. Anyone else having flashbacks from the 60’s?

Plods is correct. That is the cover art of the 1968 debut album of that forgotten psychedelic/bluegrass band, “The Crazy World of Arthur Basset”.

Well, guys. I won’t even attempt Stel’s wicked puzzle this morning. Our cleaning lady is due here real soon and I’ll enjoy the puzzle later. See ya!

Wasn’t too bad at all! Hardest part was making marks I could see against that psykey-dellick background!

Challenge?
Did I hear “challenge?”
Them’s fightin’ words…. er…. well… one fighting word, anyhow.
Fellow named Dean Russo …. seems to have made a few zillion versions,
and found his niche in the Art world painting swirly dogs and the odd rock star,
selling paintings in galleries, and also reproductions on tote bags and aprons.
Haven’t found the exact one…. but I would pretty much think he did it.
If not, somebody sure ripped him off.
Hoping this works, posting it from my tablet…
https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/71pMo6WjXiL.SY550.jpg
If not, later I’ll upload it to postimage, or just post it from my computer.
Turns out all the dsl in my area was down for two hours last night for some kind of maintenance….
Cos who would be using it at 1:30 in the morning, right?
So what’s the prize, Nighthawks?
Huh? What’s the prize?
I expect something commensurate with my salary……
Wait… scratch that…
