BTW… I’m so glad that these days the boys can stand in those nice blue, relatively clean, wheeled recycle bins.

Unlike a few cranky ex-players, I don’t find their use effete,

or miss the days of having to smell nasty garbage while we watched them.

I much prefer their more complicated rolling routines to the brawling that usually ensued in the pre-wheel days…

as they (supposedly unintentionally) knocked each other over, in those grimy, dented, metal cans.

I’d like to see them do this for an entire Doo-Dah Parade.

For an added degree of difficulty, they change to those sticks with a sharp point on the end and see who can fill the other guys bin with trash first. It gets a little intense after the first time one of them gets nicked a bit. Paramedics are on standby.

This raises at least as many questions as it answers. For instance, what exactly do they now synchronize? For another, what’s the betting line on how long they can remain like that before the wheels roll out from under them and they both end up face down on the driveway?
