I remember doing crewel too when I was experimenting with different types of needlework but it was too tedious. I enjoyed counted cross stitch much better.
Ruthie you would be too board with grandma craft work. Myself I never heard of crewelwork looks very technical. There was one other craft done but I hear it was dying out I think it’s called tacking(sp) not sure this is right. Uses a small devise.
