Never interrupt a good conversation to check a tweet. Face to face conversation is going to become a dying art.

You’re sitting face-to-face, and you want to read about some twit eating yogurt?!? This is way too sad…

Once again, made for each other.

But what the hell is the “eyes on” reference?

If soldiers are tweeting while on mission, the “eyes on” would be asking if can they see their target, which makes sense in the next panel, where Toggle’s bud asks if he should “light them up” (engage the target).

Trudeau’s Mil-speak always comes off as authentic. It makes me wonder if he’s got buds of his own down range.

I sure hope this reality check doesn’t mess up the start of a nice romance.

And the first real obstacle rears its head, a sad fact… Toggle is still living with the war.

It puts into perspective for all those who feel the need to post the most mundane things in their lives for all to share, and for those who feed on the mundane of others to validate their lives.

Hmmm… I’ve often wondered… If World War II had been covered and reported like the Vietnam ‘conflict’, would we be speaking German today? (And maybe Japanese on the wast coast?)

Gweedo- Not too far off. “Eyes on” is military jargon. It means you have “eyes on” your target. You can see it and are prepared to engage. Apparently he’s tweeting his buddies while they’re in action. Chilling, when you think about it.Makes you realize what is going on while we’re sitting here at home getting fat. — Sorry Chrisnp, didnt see your earlier post. You’re right about Trudeau being on target with his military jargon, he’s been that way since Viet-Nam. It always makes me wonder why folks consider him such an ultra-liberal. He takes the time to know what is going on in the military and bothers to get it right. No one hates war more than a soldier.

Dypak: Maybe I’m reading more into it than you meant, but I take issue with the implication in your comment “It always makes me wonder why folks consider [Trudeau] such an ultra-liberal. He takes the time to know what is going on in the military and bothers to get it right. No one hates war more than a soldier.” As a “liberal” with a year in Vietnam behind me, I’d like to think that could apply to me. It’s the chicken-hawks like Bush, Cheney, and Clinton who misuse the military, whether liberal or conservative.
