    Mom and Dad are probably mad at Calvin for shaking Hobbes.

    Dog, cat, ferret, rabbit, anything with fur…..they’re GONNA get you like that when they’re wet…..ya jus’ have to deal with it. :-)

    Calvin actually wasn’t given Hobbes, he caught him in a snare trap (which is even greater deffiance for the “Hobbes is just a stuffed toy” view, and Watterson loved to play with that).

    Now I’m thinking “poor calvin, he’s going to have to dry off a second time
