Coming Soon š At the beginning of April, youāll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
The leaves fall, and whether you rake them into a pile or not, if you āleaveā them, they ultimately blow away (into my yard BTW) and are gone. If the snow falls and you make a snowman, ultimately it melts and is gone.
āThe grass withers, the flower fades: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.ā
Isaiah 40:8
As long as theyāre at it, C&H should break out the leaf bags and keep on raking.
Puddleglum2, Iād love to leave it, but you keep inflicting it on us. So why donāt you put it in a warm, dark place and save it for us. OH PLEASE DO.
Leave Puddleglum2 alone! Heās entitled to post whatever he wants, just like you areā¦..and Iāve seen plenty of much more inappropriate posts out here!
Iāve never made a leafman. Doesnāt look like much fun. Leave piles are to be jumped in, while snow piles are to be made snowman (or used for forts).
Puddleglum2 can post whatever he wants! Unless he posts something rude or profane, who cares? It doesnāt bug me if he wants to put a verse after his post. It shouldnāt bug anyone else either. Itās a free country (for now at leastā¦)
Good idea, those who donāt want to read Puddleglum or Joe Dotyās comments just skip over them. I donāt understand why people have to gripe over this stuff when itās easier to scroll past it than to take the time to comment that you donāt like their comments!
As for Calvin and Hobbes, I guess where they are itās not as far along in the year as it is now. Weāve had snow but so far it hasnāt really accumulated much. What a difference from last year when it never stopped snowing from mid November onward.
Realizing who Watterson based the characters names on, and seeing the discussion in the comments seems oddly appropriate.
And might, I like the idea of a burning leaf man!
Itās nice to be young !! I was born and raised in MT and had to live with the snow, Iām now in OK. and still dread the little bit we get here. But then I think of my school teacher sister that teaches up by the arctic circle. BRRRRRRR
PuddleG2 should be allowed to repeatedly post all the lengthy religious prose, bad puns and marginally related song lyrics that he/she wants to.
And all those who hate having to read judgmental, holier-than-thou, religious tripe should be allowed to post just as many comments about annoying it is.
This reminded me of my cousin, who after a few too many at the beach one night, layed on the sand face up. he moved his arms and legs aāla snow angles. he then proceeded to make a string of āsandā angels down a stretch of the beach. he made one seperately that was a little inappropriate, he placed two mounds of sand strategically within the form and called it a āsand honeyā.
āā¦wonāt snow for another month at leastā¦ā I wonder if this was originally published in mid-Decemberā¦ If so, I want to move wherever Calvin lives.
I never made a snowman out of leaves as a kid but I made several out of sand at the beach and out of mud after a rain in the backyard with a beach bucket, spoon, and plastic shovel.
Weāve got 2 1/2 inches of snow here now but weāve had wind for three days thatāll blow you down in upstate New York.
It seems to be just Christianity that people have problems with. I donāt find anything offensive about it. If there were personal comments about other people that would be different. GO PUDDLEGLUM2!!!
