LuvH8: I don’t remember asking about the reindeer but Santa with the chimney thing scared me for Santa since the chimney we had went into the furnace. Santa watching you all the time I just figured was just like God so I could see that one happening. It was the Tooth Fairy that creeped me out as a kid, thinking the thing was buzzing around me at night and crawling under my pillow when I was asleep!

Interestingly Hobbes has not Calvin’s view on things hehe…. He should act this out more often :o)

It takes a disciplined constitution to lie to yourself and truly believe it. Calvin may well have grown to become an iconic politician. That’s how the “successful” ones do… remove their conscience to an alter ego that they can send away or ignore.

It would seem that the only difference between C&H is that Hobbs owns up to what they do and, somehow, Calvin can’t do that.

I have a presentation to do today, I think I’ll throw “extra good” in and see how many C&H fans are in the room.

Dino-1 The Tooth Fairy definitely has a high creep factor. Right up there with the boogeyman. And what does the Tooth Fairy do with all those teeth?

This just might work. After all, Santa is a senior citizen and it seems that a lot of the elder generation believes that IF they read it somewhere, THEN it must be true. (Particularly if they read it in an email about some such scary thing that instructs them to forward to ALL of their friends! Those must all be true, right?)

i had to do the same thing as hobbs in panel 2, i had just took a sip from my glass of water as i looked at what calvin said,

Reminds me of a certain Peanuts strip where Lucy tried writing a letter to Santa saying she was “perfect all year”

Wish they’d get this strip synched up with the calendar year!

I’ll have to look into wikipedia to see where the tooth fairy story came from and if they have an answer to what she was supposed to do with all the teeth. Sounds like a Brothers Grimm story.
