Calvin ought to know, since Hobbes’s thoughts are Calvin’s own. Sometimes I think the little guy just needs to keep himself on his own toes.

Still, .25 cents for a workout like that, and he didn’t have to disinfect a machine, and wipe up someone else’s sweat to get it. NICE!

Calvin’s lucky - I had to go to Sunday School when I was a kid. Missed alot of Rocky & Bullwinkle Shows in the days before VCR’s (or YouTube) were invented.

Missing a lot of Rocky & Bullwinkle was not necessarily a bad thing in my books. I only watched that show as part of a captive audience when I was in the hospital, many many years ago, I’d have much rather have been sleeping, but the nurses wept waking me up for one reason or another.

I want to know, what Hobbes is saying in the next-to-last panel! What’s the price?

Took 15 or so years but er, um - nickel was/is misspelled….

Actually, I’m impressed that a 6 year old knows what extortion is. Hobbs does not have fleas, though. Mom put him through the washer recently.

At least this is a distinction from the beanie cap obsession.

It was bad enough when I had to put on stiff clothes and go to Sunday School, but when they put that an hour before church so I had to go to both.

I’ve heard the phrase, “you’ve got a tiger by the tail” meaning, I suppose, that the tiger can’t get you, but don’t let go or you’re in trouble.

Calvin doesn’t have a tail so you’re always in trouble.

what the heck.. Hi guys.. I should be the last one to read this i guess.. yeah..First or last i don’t really care as long as i got my daily dosage of Calvin & Hobbes humour to make my day haha..

This one kinda reminds me of the Sunday Dennis the Menace comics where the first 2-3 panels had a separate story line. I love Hobbes’ logic. Make something more desirable by making it harder to get. Didn’t Tom Sawyer do something similar with the white wash? By the way… Thank God for Sunday comics and coffee.

That’s a good idea, Kab Buch. I just joined this site and don’t really know how reliable the administrators can be… we’ll see, I guess. But there’s still nothing stopping the spammers from making new accounts and posting again.

You don’t have to be in school to dislike Sundays, Calvin … a job you really really hate will make you feel that way too (and that period of time lasts waaaaaay longer than your school years! So stay in school and study hard for a job/career that you may actually look forward to going to someday!).

Hey - I get Calvin & Hobbes emailed to me; another “Featured Comic” comes with. Lately it’s been ‘Baldo,’ and it’s been in Spanish. Anyone else having the same issue?

Hey old_MK!! Rocky and Bullwinkle!! Now THERE was a great comic strip. I wish it were available in “reruns” like the Calvin and Hobbes strip.

A good point Poindexter! The variety of characters made the strip especially good. Rocky and Bullwinkle were only two of the many chatracters. The variety made it all the more interesting. From one day to the next you never knew what to expect.

I have a crush on June Foray’s voice. I remember being very relieved to discover that the voice of Rocket J Squirrel was female.

Calvin didn’t let Hobbes finish his statement. How rude! BTW, it’s a good thing the last panel is the last panel. Calvin might find another statement to be true. “Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.” Calvin might be fierce, but Hobbes can be a ‘ferocious tiger’ when aroused.

Calvin should exhibit that kind of ferocity on Moe!

Don’t you know? They are all repeats. There haven’t been any new Calvin and Hobbes comics since the ’80s.

I loved Rocky & Bullwinkle. I also enjoyed Gumbie(spelled wrong) and Pokie. Saw a retro show with G&B with my granddaughter and thought it was lame.

Since Calvin thinks “people are scum” and is otherwise radically selfish (and a rebel with or without a cause to boot), is it any wonder he has no other close friends? He could even be close to Rosalyn the babysitter if he weren’t his own worst enemy.

Would love to be able to read this comic. It’s always reproduced too small on sunday mornings!

Hey, seanachie - I didn’t know R & B were in a comic strip, too! I just love the cartoon! I have a boxed set of…well, I forget how many episodes, ~1 hour each - that I occasionally pull out & watch…
