“First and one”, love it. We too had a small back yard and so I can understand.

That will cost Hobbes $75,000 in NFL fines!

I guess that’s one way to see it… And I must say its better then my impression which had more to do with an open head injury

I wasn’t really sure what Calvin had on his head. Open head would mean Calvin is bleeding. Where I grew up one could play football though have to deal with stickers and sometimes ants. Parents did not want to pay to spray dad would take sack out and pull stickers found out too much work. Now mom is way too worried about money though with dad gone past 11 years she has gained alot of cash most from SS and will not hardly use that. The yard we have now I’m not sure could be used for football. And to throw a freesbie have to be careful doesn’ t go over woodend fences.

Too true no matter how scary and painful that tackle was for Calvin!

Now, if Calvin had gotten blind-sided by an illegal chop block, then that definitely would have cost Hobbes some penalty yardage.

Proper tackle with arms and body, no spearing with helmet (which is absent anyway)!

Calvin has really suffered of late from Hobbes surprise attacks. Since, Hobbes is his alter ego, I wonder what’s causing him to fantasize about being set upon by his best friend.
