    There’s only one rule to Calvinball or Calvin Ball… I’m not sure how it’s spelt. But that one rule is that you can never play the same way twice.

    **Good morning Marg! Good morning Fran! Good Morning L’Wolf! Good Morning Grog!**

    What is it with Marg? She is always first! Were the rest of us sled dogs, Her bottom we’d curse! But this is a comic strip And one of the best So Marg is the leader And does so with zest!

    The rule book is the size of an atlas and 8 feet thick; so far only the first 4 feet have writing. NFL and NA$CAR are watching closely. NBA, MLB, and NHL are a little further back.

    The boy in the movie trailer looks more like Dennis the Menace than Calvin. But at least he’s blond! (That’s one scary looking Hobbes he has behind him!!)

    Well, what can she say? He told her to do it (and the fact that she also enjoyed doing it made it all that much sweeter for her)!!! Hey, those are the rules Calvin (and Hobbes?) made up for Calvinball; therefore, as the loser of their latest (C.b.) game, he must follow them (according to rule #1.4 from junco49’s link)!!!!!

    He was clearly asking for it. But I wonder what his motive was. By the way, did you mention a Calvin and Hobbes movie Destiny23, is it a cartoon?

    @Puddlegum …

    “Undecided” was previously recorded by Django Reinhart in August 1939.

    Although the Ames Brothers was a fine version as well.

    Hey Grog,

    Susie is not evil…she is opportunistically evil.

    If she were really evil, she would have kept the bucket of water to use when Calvin wasn’t expecting it.

    ellisaana, I do not dispute that, though you must admit that evil does lurk within - no matter how it manifests itself.

    What does “petard” mean? Oh, I’ve see the Google dictionary meaning of an explosive device but how can one be “hoisted” onto a land mine? Oh the cartoon. I’m impressed that Calvin is honest enough to play by the rules…even if they hurt at times.

    And I am so grateful, too. No movie you could imagine could equal the imagination of Calvin and Hobbes - because it provokes the imagination of each of us in different ways, as it should be.

    Considering a movie is the ultimate in “merchandising”, I assume there won’t be one (live-action or animated) as long as Watterson’s alive! And hopefully whoever inherits the rights from him (many decades from now!) will honour his wishes.
