All I did was have the TV on while the kid was playing in the same room! I even explained to her the parental warning and told her not to watch or listen! Peter: Gee, I stand corrected, then. Paige: I mean, what am I supposed to do--watch "Barney" the whole time I'm babysitting?! Katy: *&$% Barney! *&$% Barney!

Ted Turnerâs environmental cartoon Captain Planet and the Planeteers (©1990-1995) ended too soon. I have no doubt that Paige and Katie wouldâve enjoyed watching it together (episodes of it can still be viewed on Dailymotion). I love Captain Planetâs blue skin and green hair; his catchphrase "The power is yours! " is so motivating.
