I’m not with the strip long enough to have seen this before. I’m delighted that Petunia didn’t get a rude awakening, was afraid it was going to be just a dream… but no, the hottie and the cutie end up hitched. Best wishes!

this was disapointing because the strip has a good :folling, groove and storyline. I have been reading for about 2 yrs and was really hoping this would turn around . Too bad it goes the same way of Calvin and Hobbs.

It is next to impossible to get a comic strip published. I can’t imagine walking away from one, especially a popular one like Neurotica.

Wait, so Petunia really did marry him??!!! What happened to the cartoonist? Is she sick? Or did she get married herself?

Probably going off to the rest home for cartoonists out of ideas where Trudeau, Breathed, and others went for a while.

Allison, hope this is just a sabbatical and that new strips will return in the not so distant future.

Oh well, it used to be fun to read.

I have now read them all from the beginning - twice! And I loved every one, even though I knew I had read them all before. I am going to drop it now, though, I think I know them all!

I would love to hear from BigAl the Gal, though, find out how she is doing!

Your strip seemed successful, what went wrong?

Aww. Loved this strip four years ago (just before my own wedding) and still love it. Will probably go around for the ride again. :)

I think that Haiku Ewe came to an end and is in reruns now as well. Maybe, Petunia will get another shot or Big Al will throw something new our way.

I’ve often thought how difficult it must be to come up with daily cartoons. I’ve done a few in PTA papers and such in the past and now have done covers for monthly newletters and award scrolls with detailed illustrations for members of our group. Coming up with new material is a constant battle!

Thanks for a great run Big Al, you’ve made a lot of us very happy for quite a while. If you need to take some time off we’ll understand. Go in peace.
