i thought it was Quetzlcoatl, call me a cruciverbalist.

I just checked and Quetzlcoatl is the only 12 letter word that means feathered serpent per Wikipedia.

ucfgurl, Quetzlcoatl is only 11 letters…

Since a lot of crosswords use multiple-word answers, “wickedparrot” might also work.

Thanks, guys. I’m not up on obscure mythology. Even though I have 7 years at university (and 2 degrees), Quetzalcoatl just never crossed my path.
