It was some years ago that I came home and met my oldest son telling me that he had been fixing the “big CD player”… it was the record player… the son is now 18…

The IRS says I have to maintain records for at least three years. My 78’s are a lot older than that.

For him to understand how things develope, first you have to explain the correlation between a chicken and an egg.

Hey, don’t forget the Eagles! Greatest concert I ever saw was Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles together, live, in North Carolina. Oh those were the days!

I have many favorite concerts (Chuck Berry and Led Zeppelin), (Pink Floyd in surround sound, in a small theatre, with an unknown comedy act named Cheech and Chong filling the mid-concert break) (Jimmy Buffet at an open mike an Key West, a year before he hit it big) (John Mayall and Johnny Winter) (The Green Peace Concert with James Taylor, Judy Collins, Phil Ochs, Peter Asher and Chilliwack). The list goes on.

Some day I’ll get around to putting my vinyl on cd. Bob Dylan set only played twice. Beatles that wasn’t imported to the U.S. Oh, so many, oh, so little time.

I think it is great that they have recently started selling turntables that plug into the computer’s USB port for easy transfer/copying.

Hi chromo et al. I didn’t think anyone else would have an ediphone cylinder. We had one that played “I’d like to see the Kaiser with a Lily in his Hand”. We had 78’s, 33’s and 45’s, 8 tracks, cassettes and…..a grammophone with a porcupine quill needle (No kidding!)

I love how people think that LP’s are only for the oldies (or classic rock, etc.) My husband and I (both 30) had a bunch of electronic music only released on LP. And I’m a David Bowie fanatic who has a bunch of his stuff only on LP. The technology is making a comeback.
