I was gonna say that…maybe our dads knew each other…

I’d ask my brother if I wanted it done right.. My dad thought the shiny end of a screwdriver was for screws, the yellow end was for nails. If you wanted a pry bar, get a bigger screwdriver.Vice grips were for removing nuts, screws and nails. Would work as a hammer in a jam. He laughed when Mom asked for a stud finder. We had a lot of handymen come to the house. One of them looks a lot like me.

My wife says I’m a lot like my father.

One of Murphy’s laws states “The closest thing within reach becomes the hammer you’re looking for”…..

I wish I’d thought of the excuses. My kids did, too, when they turned in the project.
