No teacher ever pays attention to that desk, if they have questions they stand up and look at some volunteers in the class, most times they end up standing right next to you and therefore overlook you. Also, teachers tend to look for mischief in the middle to last rows, partly because of reputation, partly because it’s smack in their line of sight.
I spent hours snoozing or reading in the front row without ever getting caught.

That would be hard to get used to but I always like sitting in front.
