Actually, I think mom should say that. Jeri and Teena are plenty old enough to get dressed, eat cereal, brush their teeth, and get on the school bus by themselves. What do they need their mom for?
I walked to school 5 miles every day, uphill both ways, with 5 feet of snow on the ground and in a howling, freezing wind - and that was after I cleaned all the stalls in the barn, fed the animals, mopped all the floors in the house and fixed a hot breakfast for my siblings and parents before I left. Why, these young whippersnappers of today should be ashamed of themselves…
