    Yesterday’s strip would have normally been a Sunday strip in the original run. It’s possible that there wasn’t a new strip there during the original run so it left them with a blank in the current run.

    The speech of a Lithuanian peasant is the closest one can get to hearing the original Proto-Indo-European language. Of all the PIE languages, it has preserved the most features of the original – eight cases, larger numbers of irregular verbs, a strong inflectional system.

    I remember when I first read this strip — I freaked out to see Lithuanian in a comic. It’s still way cool.

    Fantastic! I only know a couple of Lithuanian words, but they’re a grandmother’s endearments for her grandchildren. Seems appropriate. :)

    So, was the missing strip the one that explained the grandmother was Lithuanian? Or were we expected to pick it up out of the either?
