Remeber the Pacer? That was shaped like â and looked about as safe as â an egg. One woman I knew called it a âfishbowl,â which was also appropriate.
When, oh when, will they bring back the Studebaker?
I remember the Pacer, the passenger door was larger than drivers to make access to the rear seat easier. Jeri just wanted a Mini because it was the âcar du jourâ. It may use premium, but they can get 40mpg and are more fun than a Fâing Prius.
I like my Challenger; V-6, 20 MPG around town (over 30 on the highway!) and I can still stomp on it and DRIVE out of trouble if I have to; try THAT with a âSmart CarââŠmine isnât some Monster machine Hemi, nor is it a gas-sipping hybrid, or a people-mover minivan with seating for 8. But it IS a personal car for me and my lady â and at 60 years old, Iâve EARNED it! In a few years, after itâs paid for and then some, Iâll trade it on something a bit more âsensibleâ â but for now, Iâm having fun without TOO much pump pain.
