    An Oxford English Dictionary? Kind of like those great big Webster dictionaries? The ones that are six inches or so thick? Those can be nasty weapons! Of course, you’d have to work out with them first, which you can also do.

    There are several versions of the OED:

    Concise OED, 240,000 words defined, one volume

    Shorter OED, 500,000 words defined, two volumes

    OED, 20 volumes + 3 additional volumes for words added 1986 to 1997Same as Shorter OED, with etymologies and cross references

    Concise OED Same as the 20 volume set in one volume, 9 pages per leaf with a magnifying glass so you can read them

    OED on CD, 2 CDs
