Well unless you take in account that they are for everything the Bush administration stands for. They are republicans and that is the party whom has lead us down this path.
One can not claim to be a Republican and walk away from this mess. The years of corporate welfare, subprime mortgages flushing money down into the hole that is haliburton and Iraq… These are whom they are, they can not just deny this and claim to be reformers… Change is the platform of Obama and you can’t just start using the word a year late and pretend your not a republican when in fact, you are.
Look, If you truly love this country and your a conservative; wright in Ron Paul for president. Will he win? most likely no, Will your conscious be clear? Yes. Plus you can tell people you voted for a man with balls of steel.
Uhhh, explain to me how this cartoon is blaming McCain for Wall Street’s downward spiral.
Seems to me this is more about how the McCain/Palin Campaign has been rolling along just fine on such nonsense as, ‘Hockey Mom’ and “How DARE Obama use the words, ‘lipstick on a pig’?”
That is, until they found themselves confronted by a REAL issue…one they can’t dismiss.
Oh…and Phil Gramm, Senator McCain’s closest econoimic advisor until recently played a BIG role in deregulating the mortgage industry.
Your right Simon, this comic is mainly about the McCain Palin’s lack of an ability to confront and handle a real world issue. So why have I chosen to directly rebutted Bob’s assertions that this comic links wall streets failure to their campaign? Because I can. I feel I can prove the point Bob put forth despite the fact that the comic does not truly imply such an assertion..,.
Palin is in free fall in the polls.
The economy is in free fall.
McLie can not remember, anything.
His teleprompter tells him the solution is, a commission should be formed, headed by Phil Gramm, no doubt. Need I say more?
If MudCain and Pale-in are going to continue the lame economic policies His Liar Majesty dropped during the last awful years, YES they are also responsible…
The Economy needs a minimum supervision, some kind of intelligence watching if everything goes to a cliff. But this is something the Republicans does not believe in, and are very bad implementing (the only thing they want to do is to create bailouts and golden parachutes for friendly conglomerates, paid with money borrowed to our future…)
Looks like the bear pulled her teeth. Not to worry–maybe Palin can order 30 doz. tanning beds for all her not-my-official-home undisclosed locations and chalk it up to per diem expenses. That ought to goose the economy.

Now it’s McCain/Palin’s fault for the wall street problems?
This cartoon is just downright dishonest.

Man, what an illustrator. Love that bear and even the texture on the cliff.

Bob, PO got it right. McSame has not stopped saying that the economy is fine. And Palin has no clue how to deal with this.
He did shift over to saying that the “fundamentals” he’s been referring to are the workers and how dare Obama say the workers aren’t fine.
Alexus_The_Great almost 16 years ago
Lalas: according to MudCain’s point of view, it’s easy to associate “fundamentals” of economy with “workers”…
Both are buried very deep into the ground, and both are supporting the whole weight of it…
