Voice: Hey, Red...do you really think Boomers were just handed their jobs and that we should now hand them to you? Red: Um...how else are we going to get ahead? Voice: Oh, starting at entry level, learning the business and working your way up over the years like we did leaps to mind. Red: All right, stop with the jokes...I'm trying to be serious here. Joe: That's what scares us, Red.

They are both totally obnoxious, Red is clearly entitled, and the radio show host, clearly utterly refuse to acknowledge, that the world isn’t the same as it was in his generation.

The scary part is that in the 2020s it’s even worse. We get kids right out of school with a technical background who expect to be in management within 5 years at the outside. This is in a profession where it takes at least 5 years to be minimally competent at the basic technical stuff and 15 to be truly productive.
