    There’s a distinct difference between stupid and dumb, just like there’s a difference between smart and intelligent. Some people can be stupid and still be smart and others can be intelligent and still be dumb.

    If you’re ignorant, you just don’t know something, but can be educated. If you’re stupid, you can’t learn.

    Up until a few months ago, most of us were probably ignorant of who the governor of Alaska was, but since we’re not stupid, we now know that her name is Sarah Palin.

    I think that I may know what you mean, but I'm not sure that I know which should be which. Can you explain further?
