Joe: It's awfully quiet, Kate... what's Danae up to? Kate: Well, the good news is, she's learned from recent history that faking competence won't last... so she's taken a page from the pro's playbook and is working harder to improve. Joe: Oh... so what's the bad news? Kate: I just told you.

This is better than one-a-day vitamins. I honestly believe Danae could hold a workshop for aspiring CEO’s.

This is the second most frequently asked question. Danae (named after the Greek goddess, mother of the hero, Perseus) is pronounced DAH-nay.

I like that name, it’s unusual. I had a friend when I was little named Dana but adding the e on the end makes it sound exotic.
Wildmustang1262 almost 16 years ago
Yeah, the pronouncation for Danae sounded about right. Dah-nay It think that name is awesomely cool!

Along with other ships of the Royal Navy named after mythical heroes (Achilles, Hector etc.) HMS Danae has had a venerable history as well. Various manifestations have been as frigates and destroyers, going back to the time of the Napoleonic wars.
