There’s no windows in my building. I nearly got outsourced this year. Then a Japanese company bought the business I’m in. At least a temporary reprieve.
when he finds someone to outsource, that person has to train his replacement if he wants any kind of severance pkg, then they expect him to go out and buy stuff because it’s a consumer driven economy… when did we forget that we’re all in this together?
Worked my butt off for 10 years, still got offshored. The kick in the @ss? Got 30 days notice of impending layoff, saw my job listed on the company website as open… in Asia.
There’s a story that, after the KGB (or MVD or whatever it was in those days) handed off to the Czech equivalent in the Bad Old Days, a senior Czech agent was observed on the fifth floor of the HQ the Russians had built complaining “Stupid Russian windows won’t open!”
Three years? That is long-range planning. Most corporations have long-range strategic planning looking into the next quarter to be sure profits are still good enough.

Good luck with that.
If no one is doing the work, they will send it elsewhere anyway. Another form of catch 22.

Even if I wanted to do the same thing, I wouldn’t be able to. Windows don’t open in my building! LOL

The dude looking out the window is the boss. He’s fat, bald and has a suit coat on. At least that’s how I see it. Wiley?

As soon as they find them avoiding the outsourcing they will use a plane to sky write the layoff…

You should move to Asia, GhostPony. You’ll be a shoe in for the job.

I thought they stood outside and hid from their boss so their boss would not catch them for nothing.

Doesn’t look like a very productive company.

Well, 2 years, 8 months and 13 days, or when the S&P hits 1500, whichever comes first.
But, hey, who’s counting?
