Kate: O-o-o-kay... how does this work? Danae: It's very simple, Kate... if people just do things my way... then they won't need to think anymore. This will bring you inner peace, and if everyone will just shut up and do what I want, then we'll have world peace! Kate: I have to admit, there's a certain nightmarish logic to that... Danae: You say that like it's a bad thing.

nightmarish logic. like it’s a bad thing. can’t get enough of this.
just wondering if the strip is extra small to anyone else.
tis4kis about 15 years ago
Hello… could we have a full size strip please or should the first tag be “too small to read”?
Is it just me or is this postage stamp size?
grannycyd about 15 years ago
it is extra small to me too. so were some other strips
dirtmusic about 15 years ago
They get a bit larger with a double click.
Edcole1961 about 15 years ago
Worse than that, Danae has adopted the attitude of every dictator and religious zealot in the world.
johnwhitaker7 about 15 years ago
Much too small for me.
A shame for such an exciting strip,
John.
Praxsis about 15 years ago
Hey this seems familiar….doesn’t the Govt work that way too?….LOL
farren about 15 years ago
There’s some kind of glitch in GoComic’s scanning system, I presume. The strips are small, but you can zoom ‘em up and they read perfectly fine.

I think we’ve got a young little female fink in the making.
And yes this strip is small today, but then the Sunday strip of Marmaduke on Comics.com is always too small to read.
YatInExile about 15 years ago
Maybe the smaller strip is part of Danae’s way.
palepink Premium Member about 15 years ago
It’s the Grand Inquisitor scene from the Brothers Karamozov!
Here’s a trick: click on one of the tags. Say, on the “Enlarge the strip please” tag. It’ll take you to a page where all the strips with that tag appear, all at normal size.

It’s sometimes hard to tell where the cycle starts: a population stops thinking and ends up with a dictator, or they get a dictator who makes them stop thinking, and the cycle feeds on itself.
gjsjr41 about 15 years ago
pschearer, I think you’re onto something.

These smaller strips have got to go.
Leonardeuler about 15 years ago
I wonder if Danae is related to Lucy Van Pelt in a certain manner.
pearlandpeach about 15 years ago
this is impossible to read with no REAL zoom feature. the zoom that is here is still not readable.
pschearer Premium Member about 15 years ago
If you are viewing this with Internet Explorer 8, there should be a very convenient zoom button in the lower right corner of the window.

size problem

This is old news. I grew up with a mother like that.

Short story.

All the comics are smaller than they used to be but this is ridculous. If you want this to change hit the “contact us” button & complain. If that doesn’t work cancel your subscription. I did. Zooming does not increase resolution - just produces a large blurry image. They need to start scanning the images at a higher resolution.

Sounds like our current administration…
pdeason2 about 15 years ago
it sounds like obama’s plan.
dipsdayal about 15 years ago

unkawo about 15 years ago
even blown up on my monitor it is still smaller than the new micro size they print in the local newspaper
warrabit about 15 years ago
Where’s my magnifying glass and tri-focals?
geekagirl about 15 years ago
Right click then select view image. On my monitor it blows it up to about 2” by 5”. Wonder what’s causing this?
PalomaP5 about 15 years ago
Maybe, because of the nightmarish logic, they want to keep it small.
albrownal about 15 years ago
TOO SMALL!!!!

size matters… ask the wife…

I have gotten word from the tech folks that they are aware of the problem and it should be fixed by this afternoon.
JPBecker about 15 years ago
Anyone have a magnifying glass. Hell I now products in the grocery strores have gotten smaller but this is rediculus!!!!
Even double clicking it was barely readable!!
g6793 about 15 years ago
H’mmm… after I clicked and was sorta able to read it (I’m nearsighted anyway…) I have to admit it makes sense in a weird way…
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Danae is about to form a new cult. Whenever you are near her…don’t drink the Kool Aid.
lmaynard69 about 15 years ago
What’s going on??? Why are some of these comics microscopic in size?
thomas scanlon about 15 years ago
hmmm… thirty-six posts at this point… Most complain about the size misteak - an error easily fixed — and only nine and two halves point to nefarious wannabe dictators or to our present administration.
(same thing ?). count me with the minority.
noclass99 about 15 years ago
I think that it’s a rather clever ploy by gocomics to get comments about the strip, characters, format, etc. Their methods must be documented somewhere in the Obamacare legislation … obscure, convoluted and unworkable … but liberally loved!!
wicky about 15 years ago
If you are not for me, then you are against me. Hmmm, where have I heard that before.
goodlymammon about 15 years ago
Ah, so a propos given the current administration.
ZetaZeta about 15 years ago
Tyranny is always clean and efficient. It’s when we all have different ideas and freedoms when things get messy.
Hspagna about 15 years ago
Why was this comic reduced to such a small size that one needs a microscope to read it today? I clicked on “share” to get here to read it. The other comics in my email (so far) have come through beautifully. I have more to read.
bmonk about 15 years ago
World peace–as in a cemetery. Didn’t work for the Roman Empire, didn’t work for Louis XIV (or XVI), Bonaparte, Hitler or Stalin, or even Pol Pot. What chance does Danae have?
MatureCanadian about 15 years ago
I don’t think Danae will be able to convince her Dad with this logic. Way to go Wiley. Love the little brat.
Trebor39 about 15 years ago
OK Danae, I started to do things your way and now I want you and everyone else to do things my way. And that’s not a bad thing.
Carolo1 about 15 years ago
LOOKS LIKE RUSH MIGHT BE REPLACED AND THAT’S NOT A BAD THING
Varnes about 15 years ago
We just got rid of a wanna be dictator, who spied on us, recorded all electronic conversations, texts and transmissions, and said we were unpatiotic if we disagreed with him….The only thing that stopped him was our habit of having elections….At least we got a good man this time….regardless of what the wacky cons. say…
sportsbearstl about 15 years ago
I just did a presentation and report on the Milgram Experiments. This would have been a classic cartoon to add. Thanks!

Danae is trying out to be Shrub III…

It’s like the old saying goes. Life is pleasant in a dictatorship if you’re the dictator.
aldridgeg about 15 years ago
Gosh. Sounds like Obama’s plan for America.
