Isn’t that the truth! I remember when Michigan did the same thing, though they stopped that years ago.

Those OSU stickers may have started out like the first panel said. However the awarding of the award is quite subjective. I suspect over the years the sticker awarding threshold has been progressively lowered to where the second panel is not that far off the mark.

how many stickers do you get for a coach giving a forearm shot to an opponent player’s throat?

Actually most of the OSU Buckeye stickers are awarded for “team” based accomplishments rather than “individual” awards (forcing 3-and-outs on defense etc). There are individual awards for big plays but if you look most of the starters have around the same amount because everyone wins or loses as a team. Plus they are only awarded when the Buckeyes win the game. Doesn’t matter how well you play in a loss, it is still a team loss.

If you don’t make it to the NFL, those stickers aren’t going to be a lot of help on your resume’.

Does it matter since the stickers really don’t mean anything other than personal/team pride?
