    Now make it disappear…

I would only add this ~Cut It In Half~ and I’m not saying like some magic trick!

I apologize for getting on my soap box here: But this was why the big banks needed to be “Bailed-Out” in the first place and now those of us that did pay on time have had our % rates raised to cover their looses! This comic is all to real today… And I don’t see any humor in it at all!

no balances equals no %. simple equation. “use it instead of cash, not as cash” is a hard lesson for some to learn, but i always thought it was approving mortgages for people who didn’t really qualify based on income that got the banks in trouble. perhaps it was a combination of both (and/or other factors as well).

There’s a first mortgage on my house. Other than that if I don’t have cash, I don’t buy it, and that includes any vehicle. My car is a ‘79 and in very good condition and costs less than $50a month for full coverage. Why this life style? Because I don’t have to impress anyone.

Ahem, guess that makes me a plugger.

EarlWash, yyyguy, and a few others said, basically, if you don’t have cash don’t buy it, or at least pay off the balance each month. That’s all well and good. You’re all correct. That is the best way to use credit cards.

HOWEVER … not everyone is able to do that. What if you’re disabled and/or on a fixed income and need vital medicine? What if there are medical bills that insurance doesn’t cover? What if your car breaks down and it MUST BE repaired because it’s your only means of getting around?

Not everyone is in this predicament because of greed or self-indulgence. Everyone got screwed … even those who played by the rules.
