Gweedo & Gee1a: âOctomumâ still lives in naniâs (Hindi for maternal grandma, meaning Octomumâs mum) home and basically foists the duty to nani!
John can do it âcause I did once while my wife was in the hospital. To prasrinivara, I believe ânaniâ was ready to throw her out before the eight arrived. Six was too much for her.
doubleagle64 - you are correct. Nani IS tossing them out. Papa is buying them a house ⊠and California is giving them nanny care etc etc. I think Octo should lose the children, and be put in jail for 14 counts of âfailing to protect a childâ or what ever the CA law it.
ive been in johns shoes, my late wife went out of town for a week and i volunteered to stay home with our little one. what an eye opening experience that was, it gave me a whole new perspective of what a mother was all about. God Bless all mothers
My husband would get stressed out from work, and then heâd say, âWhy donât you go to my job for me?â Iâd reply, âOkay, but that means you get to stay home and take care of the kids.â He quickly decided it wouldnât be a good trade.
OK, I may get cream pieâd but Iâll admit it. Housewifery/mothering is tougher and more complex than many husbands imagine (if they havenât tried it, which seems incredible to me considering weekends and holidays). Still Iâd rather do that than be responsible for hauling trash, building roads, or trying to make enough sales for eight-ten hours five days a week. I guess Iâm one of the few âPluggerâ types left who also had many friends (70âs) in one income households where neither the husbands OR wives would have liked to switch.

RobbyC, I donât think theyâre reruns, theyâre new, but still supposed to be taking place in the 80s. My take, anyway.
