Yesterday someone complained Elly does “nothing with her hair”. She is wearing her hair the way 90% of women today wear theirs - straight, long, and boring. Now it is called “in style”. And some people work long and hard to get it that way.
I thought people stopped caring what others thought of how they dressed long, long ago. I know I did. If it’s warm or cool enough and not too tight, I wear it. And sh’e wearing purple and red!!
I’m actually impressed that the colourist read the comic for a change. Usually you’ll see the character saying “I can’t believe you’re wearing my blue hat!” and the hat is coloured pink and orange.
hey notnorm.
i, for one, prefer macushlalondra’s usual maturity level (and comments) to yours (and i usually skip reading yours since there seemed to be little of value there when i did read them). talk about the pot calling the kettle black. i’m surprised you didn’t say “time for elly to scream irrationally” for the umpteenth time.
@dry: yeah, i saw that too. (i look at notnorm’s comments from time to time to see if it’s worth changing my opinion.) my first thought was, “Is he for real?” i, too, would pity his wife - if he has one - except that he probably suits her or they wouldn’t have wed. (the ‘someone for everyone’ theory)
Oh, just ignore Notnorm and enjoy the comic, he’s your stereo-typical whiner: he feels so helpless and pathetic in his real life that he has to go on a post board and irritate a bunch of strangers to feel powerful. The more anyone responds to him, the more powerful he feels and it makes him worse. I see similar behavior in 3rd graders all the time - it’s really pretty sad.
I’m glad I’m not the only one. If you read Gasoline Alley he’s no different over there. Always whining about the current storyline. He said once he felt sorry for my husband. Well we’ve been married for 24 years and though we’ve had our ups and downs we’ve been pretty happy.
This is my mom EXCATLY! Just recently, she said I can’t wear my tall socks anymore unless they MATCH!!!!!!!!!!! And half of them are neon, so that is code for “no more tall socks.” My mom probably has serious OCD, but whatever.

Oh, well, in that case… You know, he’d fit right in in China (I saw a woman wearing that same ensemble yesterday).

It’ll be okay as long as he stays inside the fence.

How about that he’s randomly grabbed stuff out of the “to be washed” pile for the labour at hand (in this case–as he stated–fixing the fence)?
(hint: unfortunately, Elly’s further reaction may xerox Wanda’s in today’s Baby Blues strip)

They’ll think he’s going to play golf or he’s a retired military man.

This time I agree with John. Let him wear what he wants to fix the fence.
As for you Not Norman, I thumb my nose at you!

Baby Blues ? Is prasrinivara reading another comic provider because gocomics doesn’t offer Baby Blues.
Allan CB Premium Member over 15 years ago
MBowser there is www.comcics.com , http://www.arcamax.com/comics#feat and http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/comics
prasrinivara over 15 years ago
MBowser, you’ve heard of multiple browser-tabs?
(I generally open one of gocomics, one of comics.com and one of chron.com–the last one does offer Baby Blues).
Allan, did you make a typo on one of those sites (comcics.com, when you may have meant comics.com) you mentioned?

Hmmph… Mrs. Goaler keeps clothes she ONLY wears to work in the yard (as do I); the goal is NOT fashion – the goal is to protect our skins!
John needs a pair of work gloves and eye protection, by the way… ;-)

DRY I’m glad you called Norm on yesterday’s comments.
It’s not that we don’t like you. We only know the persona you choose to portray. You may be a decent guy who treats his wife well.
It just doesn’t show here.
