Boys will be boys….

Yep, even Lawrence :^)

The parents are going to have some free time.

no…i think their free time will be spent on trips to the principal’s office.

And then it will be summer vacation

Moms always look forward to the kids being at school all day. But Elly will still have Lizzie.

Ellie has a rather large bum.

One child at home is so easy! Only problem is, you have to have 2 or more children to realise it.

My son has another year before he goes off to “real” school and he’s just like this- silly and excited about going to school! I will be meeting with his principal a time or 2 myself, I think.

I love this strip. Much as some people hate it, it seems so real to me. The parents aren’t perfect, but neither am I. Yeah, it’s not mom-of-the-year to be glad your kid is going to school, but at preschool I’ve seen a lot more gladness than sadness..

they’re lucky, i started school 2 weeks ago! i would do anything for a little more summer.

Susan001: Go back and look at last June’s strips. Ellie told Michael he wouldn’t be coming back to Kindergarten. That makes it grade 1 this year.

June 27 to be exact.

My district has always had a full day of kindergarten as long as I can remember.

These days, if you take a routine glance at a site like Facebook, you’ll see post after post from disgruntled and/or exhausted parents saying something like, “Yay! Only X amount of days ‘til school starts! I can’t wait!!”

Not a whole lot of, “I miss the little dears while they’re in school all day” anymore. The times they are a changin’, I guess.

TheGiantBrain, summerdog: most REAL women have curves. Who wants a (stick figure ) flat booty girl anyways? Not many of the men I know! AND helooo! They’ve had kids…It changes the body. That’s part of the problem in this world. People expect (Hollywood) perfection when half of us real people can’t be perfect.

They perhaps went to afternoon kindergarden which makes since since it showed on the last day of school a bunch of children leaving not just kindergardners.

2.This might be just after her divorce. Her husband (not Lawrence father and never shown on the strip) didn’t want a wife who worked. However I do agree this is prob a typo, at this point she should be hanging out with Annie.

3.Well just her stomach looks thinner, but I agree.

He’s still a puppy. They probably thought it was too hot for him and left him inside.

I think part of what some of y’all are seeing as booty is shorts-clad thighs. They are sitting on the back porch with legs slightly akimbo.

So sorry to disappoint.

But… I thought they already rode a bus…….
