Katy: What're you doing? Adam: I'm making lunch to bring over to grandma's. Clayton: Mmm. Smells good. Grandma does like stew. Katy: That's not stew. It's a thick, hearty soup. Adam: Hmm. What's the difference exactly? Clayton: The pot you cook it in? Katy: The ratio of liquid to solid? Clayton: Well, let's phone her and ask: Would she like soup or stew? And then we'll call it whatever she prefers when we arrive. Clayton: Diabolical! Katy: I don't care what mom's friends say about you dad, you're pretty smart. Adam: Hi, mom. Would you rather have soup or stew for lunch?...Uh huh...I see... Katy: Well? Clayton: What'd she say? Adam: She said whichever is easier to eat without putting her teeth in.

But we’re missing the fact that Adam is cooking! And apparently doing it well. And for someone else. Wow.

Rachal Ray would call it “stoup”, never-the-less it is great on a cold day in November.

Yeah - stoup would be good on a cold day, but it’s hitting upper 70’s today. You’d think after 17 years of living in the South, I’d be used to it, but I still miss the seasonal weather I grew up with in Ohio.
But, then, I sure don’t miss driving in snow and slush.
Whaddya gonna do?
