DYNOMITE was a catch phrase back from the 70’s that JJ Walker from the TV program Good Times said. Much like the somewhat confusing phat and dope of today… one thing remains the same though. cool is still Kool..
Garfield’s suggestion is wise, though flawed–since Jon is (overall) dumber than a box of rocks (especially when it comes to fashions), he should already have not been showing his face in public!
okay i have a question for all, is it bad that i know some of those sayings and tv shows? it seems odd for me to know them. but i like “Good times” it makes me laugh.
jon get a new shirt it looks bettter then the other things you wear, but you will be the laughing stock of town (as if he is not already) and you are telling a lie by wearing that shirt.
Tabbylynn, if it makes you laugh and doesn’t hurt anyone, it’s a good thing. There are so many great old shows, with enough variety to cover everyones taste. I would be ecstatic if modern television could come up with the quality of the old ones.
If he had a shirt like that in his size it wouldn’t be so bad. It could be a retro style. Had a few memory joggers in some of these posts. And Josh, thanks for reminding me where I’d heard “Up your nose with a rubber hose!”. Now THAT would make a good T-shirt. TV was so much better in the 70s IMO. We have so many channels to choose from now, but so few quality programs.

I second Garfield’s notion. J.J. Walker will third his notion

Derek- “Dy-no-mite” was a catch phrase from a TV series that aired in the 1970’s. Which is why Garfield says he can’t ever show his face in public ;)
This link tells you about the show, which was called “Good Times”: http://www.tvparty.com/70good.html

Bad enough he wears the tee shirt but I sure hope he doesn’t start strutting around like J.J. did on “Good Times.”

Dry, Remember Soap? Burt used to think he could be invisible at his will. I think he used to snap his fingers first and then he’d say “I’m invisible.”
