Randyt8: From yesterday. Marvel Comics “Captain Marvel” had nothing to do with Shazam. He was an alien character who lived and died in another world.
You’re thinking of DC’s Captain Marvel who said “Shazam” to change between Billy Batson & the Cap. Shazam is the name of the wizard who gave him his powers and an acronym of several mythological and legendary heroes with whose powers he was endowed. (The only one I remember for sure is Zeus and I think Hercules, Atlas and Mercury are in there too.) The good Captain also had Mary Marvel (his sister) and Captain Marvel Junior, whose magic word was “Captain Marvel” and who was crippled in “real” life. When DC did a comic of this hero (after they bought the copyright from another defunct comic company) they called it “Shazam” instead of “Captain Marvel” to avoid confusion with Marvel’s character. All of these characters have been used in DC’s continuity over the years and have shown up in various publications including Superman and Batman.

Spiders & snakes get a bad rep anyway.
We all know where snakes problems came from.
But the spider, I don’t know.
My sister in her youth would SCREEM a spider to death.
Ear plugs suggested.

It got swatted because: 1) Too many legs, 2) It tried to imitate Nermal.

In Garfield’s opinion, would that be more, less or equally annoying than Nermal?

JanCinVV, yeah you’re right it’s been years since I’ve read comic books so I simply got them confused. Thanks.
