If the GOP is to be saved, it will require dumping people like Huckabee, Palin, Jindal, and anyone else who believes Adam and Eve rode around on dinosaurs. That’s bad enough as a private belief but is a catastrophe as a basis for public policy.

If Jindal turns down federal dollars for Louisiana because the stimulus package has volcano monitoring money in it, he should turn down any and all FEMA hurricane aid, too.
