Well, girls confuse you with their requests. My wife texted me while I was at the store…asked me if I’d mind bringing her some feminine napkins. I found some real nice ones, pink and white with roses and swirlie thingies…thought they’d look good on our dining table…she struck a pose just like Clare. Can’t figure ’em out.
My father gave me an old WWII Navy booklet designed to orient our sailors to the differences in English as it’s spoken in Australia. Things like the word “bastard” being pronounced differently (“bah-stud”). My favorite was the one-sentence piece of advice: “Do not ask a waitress in Australia for a napkin, as you probably won’t get what you expected.” Still amuses me, although now it’s because of the “probably”.
well, everybody knows that Thoreau used duct tape extensively in the construction of his home on Walden pond.oh, and yes, it is DUCT tape because that was the original use of it; Thoreau taped all his duct work together with it
Reminds me of when my mom was in the hospital and she asked me to buy her some thongs…. after I had a major freakout, she explained she wanted thong shoes, and what the **** was wrong with me anyway???

LOL! I ‘spose I don’t blame ya though. I’ve always thought the term “napkin” was kinda weird. You eat with a napkin, a pad goes in underwear xD
