I’ve been taking care of my mom’s dog, and every time I get up, he goes bonkers, probably thinking I’m going to get carrots for him. He only gets them once a day.

Dogs read tone, inflections and facial expressions. If I say to my dog, Krypto, “Do you want to go…”, he’s already at the front door before I can even finish the sentence.

Toby and Cooper are the same way. They finish my sentence before I do. Chip got the dog persona perfectly with Louie here, morning all.

Good morning, Loyalists! (sounds Revolutionary War-ish)

My Yellow Lab Gunther believes in tradition. I took him to Mickey D’s for an Ice Cream Cone at 2 PM on Monday. To him it becomes a tradition to go get a cone EVERYDAY at 2PM ! He tells me “Time to go Dad” for Ice cream at 2 PM. So I take him at 11Am. Now his new Tradition is Ice Cream at 11 & 2 everyday. I can’t win

I wonder if he gets bar and barbeque confused, I can see the captain going for both of them…

Hi There Folks I’m new and I have been reading this strip for quite sometime. I LOVE it! It’s the ONLY one I read. Louie reminds me so much of my late great dog Pooh. He has to be her male alter ego. I swear he does. Hope this strip is around many more years to come. It’s a source of humor for my day. Looking forward to being a part of the Loyalists. :-)

My dog is like that to if you even mention car or spell it out he’s ready to go.

My dear late Charlie Girl, would come running only when I opened one certain cupboard! No other time, just then. Her biscuits were in there and so was her walking leash!

Holy swiss cheese, our Reilly reacts the same way. I just wish he was a dog!

Burg - with teh temps in the mid 20’s I don’t blame your Cats … when I go grocery shopping, I walk VERY SLOWLY thru the freezer/fridge aisle and sometimes, I try to crawl in, but end up being tossed out L
