Removing tar from dog hair is going to be a task that I am glad is not facing me.

Don’t try to remove the tar from the hair. Just wait a few days until the hair grows a little and give him a hair cut at the skin line. It’ll grow back.

I think you’re supposed to use WD 40 before you use the Dawn. I would just shave it all off. Live and learn, Poo Poo!

Baby oil works on tar (at least tar on your feet, acquired at a beach). But that would make him smell all girly again!
