Charlie Brown mocking Schroeder is still a little different from how he would eventually turn out.
The reversal of the viewpoint between the first and the second panels is also unusual.

Schroeder and Lucy first appeared at the age of one when Charlie was at least four but more likely five years old. Linus first appeared while he was less than one, but they will all end up in the same class at school. Must of been a one room school house.
