Lucy marches up to Linus and demands: "What's this about not being able to look at the eclipse?"<BR><BR> Linus answers, "It's very dangerous...you could suffer severe burns of the retina from infra-red rays."<BR><BR> "But what's the sense in having an eclipse if you can't LOOK at it?" Lucy throws her arms open.<BR><BR> "Somebody in production sure slipped up this time!" she adds, waving her fist as she walks off. Linus stares after her.<BR><BR>

Isn’t that what would happen if you just looked directly at the sun for a certain amount of time, eclipse or not?
