Lucy says, "Listen to this . . ."<BR><BR> Lucy continues, "It says here that nothing pleases a mother more on Mother's day than to receive a long distance call from one of her children."<BR><BR> Linus says, "That's a good thought . . ."<BR><BR> Linus runs out of the house.<BR><BR> Linus runs down the street.<BR><BR> Linus stands in a phone booth and says, "Hello . . . Mom?"<BR><BR>

Today, however, 50 years later, if one wishes to phone their mother on Mother’s Day, while they would have their CELL PHONE to use(and not have to go to a phone booth), if they wished to use the cell phone, they would have to travel FAR, FAR AWAY, I guess.(It’s the 50th anniversary of this Peanuts strip, as I post this comment, Mother’s Day 2014-May 11, 2014.) Or simply travel to some friend’s house, who lives out of town, and phone Mom,from there. At any rate, NO MORE PHONE BOOTHS, of course, due to the BIG POPULARITY of cell phones, today.
