I know how to swat flies on my screen and wash my keyboard with coffee. Computers for Dummies makes a great coaster and anything else goes wrong I kick the wires under my desk. “Hey Joe, get a bigger hammer!”

Cruft also refers to invisible and indelible corruption of a computer over time… there comes a point when no matter how many times you re-format your disks or update your firmware, your computer will just not perform well any longer.

Stray ’trons. Sometimes a program gets corrupted & needs to be reloaded from scratch. Not exactly crust, not exactly fluff, cruft works.
