    I remember falling out of a tree when I was a kid…onto my dog. Boy was he mad at me.

    “Because it’s there” never struck as being the true and honest reason to do something. Rather, it’s “because I can”.

     

    It’s what the Bible calls “the pride of life”…one of the three great human weaknesses and venues for temptation.
