    It’s the switchmode supply chopper transformer running at 16525Hz (also the horizontal scan). LCDs have a lighter load and a higher frequency so they are inaudible.

    The Finding Nemo dvd has an option to turn your tv set into a virtual aquarium. Some of those pictures are kinda cool.

    The hearing people incidentally could not stand the tolerances of watching the program with Regis Philbin on the TV with a mute sound.
