man those beaks are blinding me !!! They could use them for the amber light at a street corner … they could be used for an emergency light when power goes out …
Where’d you get that info about Van Gogh? Doesn’t match anything I ever learned about the man in art history.

They do have external ear-openings, Northwoodser.
Many famous people in history were epileptic. Van Gogh, Julius Cesar, and Napoleon to name a few without looking up a whole list
the way i heard it he either had tinnititus and cut his ear off or he was very angry and mailed his severed ear to an enemy.
cutting off your ear doesn’t cure tinnititus, I’ve tried it twice.
