Ted Rall for April 18, 2009
Transcript:
Customer: CD stores aren't easy to find - but it's the only way to make sure musicians earn royalties. Executive: I'll fire 'em all later - and save on payroll until then. Protester: Go back to Crawford, traitor!! Man: I just don't care. Man: Yes! That's all we ask! American Heroes. Listens to MP3 audio samples online, then buys the CD at an actual store. Votes to take a pay cut rather then watch coworkers be laid off. Proteste Bush. Now protests Obama for doing the same thing. Doesn't worry about gays getting married.

Those April 15 protests were against taxes? I saw all those angry white guys frothing at the mouth and thought they were Klan rallies.

Did you have any specific examples, or were you just speaking in general. It seems to me the comic is using “then” correctly, and none of the comments use it at all.
grendelkhan about 15 years ago
One would take the first option “rather than” the second. The use of “rather then” in the second panel is incorrect.
