Uh, first of all, Obviousman would probably have something to say about the fact that at the very top of the page is the announcement of the contest with a big A$$ green sign that says click for details, and people don’t see it. I’ve worked in retail. When people ask where the sale items are, you point to the huge display, below the brightly colored signs and flashing lights…

Man, Barry is workin’ way too hard. Cares a little too much….Of course, then again, maybe his other suit was at the cleaners…

Dracip, I am one of those people you speak of… but at least I’m self-aware enough to say, “Oh, duh, the restrooms are under the big sign saying ‘Restrooms’.”

that’s a little hard to see when you use adblock. only reason i knew about the big green sign was because you said there was one. Turned off adblock temporarily to see all the adverts, then I got a popup, no way am I going to leave it off. Some sites I turn it off to be supportive but no site gets a second chance on popups.

Maybe they should divers-ify their portfolio…

Lunchwagon, If you have adblocker running on firefox you won’t see the banner ad for the contest. You’ll need to disable any ad blocking software to see the link.

Hmnn…interesting. I have a pop-up blocker (works great btw) and I still have the contest entry box…I wonder why some don’t?

Turn off your PopUp Blocker - like Adblock Plus as I use, and the contest link will appear near the top of the page.

Adblock lets you re-enable specific blocked items. Just re-enable the one that looks like “http://assets.gocomics.com/images/ads/nonsequiturboardheader_600x120.jpg?1259096831” and you can leave the rest (including annoying popups) blocked.
