It’s impossible Hank, give it up. Just when I think I know who everyone is the season changes, or the kids graduate, and you get an all new cast. I’m never even 100% sure which one is Gil.
It’s impossible to identify GT characters consistently unless they war trademark polkadot shirts or asinine fedoras, or they’re auto-amputees, or giants.
That is one of the refreshing aspect of this strip, it moves almost in step with real-time. I have been reading it for many years, and they often bring back previous student-atheletes in their adult persona. Dypak, as far as which one is gil, apparently there are new people (relatively) doing the artwork, and not only have the looks changed, but there is some inconsistancy, Similar to but not as bad as Rex Morgan.
That sounds about right Jon. And I want to say I really do enjoy Gil Thorp. It usually has a relevent story line that doesnt go way off the deep end. It keeps up with the times but still keeps a certain comic innocence about it. And it is well drawn. Trying to have rich, developed characters in a 3 panel strip is a hard job. Neal and Rod, thanks! Keep it up!
